Army wants enhanced powers for SLMM

The Sri Lanka Army wants the powers of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission enhanced to check all weapons and military establishments and monitor LTTE activities before displaced civilians are allowed to be resettled in the high security zones, well-placed defence sources said yesterday. Full story

The Colombo Medical Faculty Drug Monitoring Unit is calling for information from patients and the public of any drug-related problem they have experienced or know of, as some of the serious side effects of drugs can only be discovered when the drug is used by a large number of people.
