Special Cabinet session on 19th Amendment
The political tussle over the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which
seeks to curb the power of the President to dissolve Parliament comes to a
head today when the Cabinet meets to ratify the proposal at a special

It was revealed yesterday that General Anuruddha Ratwatte had not
declared his assets in the declaration form submitted to Parliament.
New laws for easier local and global connectivity
The Government plans to establish a class licence scheme for
international telecommunications gateways and to fully liberalise local
and international leased lines.
