People in Jaffna living a peaceful and cheerful life - Defence Secretory

"After the Memorandum of Understanding was signed we have made the life of the people of Jaffna peaceful and cheerful and have given them the hope that the ethnic problem would be solved by our Prime Minister. Resettlement in Valigamam North will have to be done in stages and a final decision regaring resettlement could be taken at the end of this month after the Prime Minister returns from America", said Mr. Austin Fernando Secretary Defence Ministry who had visited Jaffna to conduct a detailed study regarding the resettlement of displaced persons in Valigamam North and Thenmaradchy.
