Nepal PM rejects cease-fire by Maoist rebels KATHMANDU, Nepal, Friday (Reuters) Nepal's communist rebels declared a one-month cease-fire but it was
quickly rejected by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba who insisted they
could not be trusted. "Once betrayed, we want to make sure the
Maoists renounce violence and lay down their arms before the fresh talks
begin," Deuba said at a special U.N. meeting on children in New York
City. Other Stories |
