Director' Training Program The Task Force on Corporate Governance set up in Sri Lanka in November 2001 in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors will conduct a Directors' Training Program from April 5 to 9 at the Colombo Hilton. The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Sri Lanka as the facilitator of the Task Force is playing a key role in the organisation of the program along with Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance Inc.(CACG). The program aimed at directors of private and listed companies, boards, corporations, permanent secretaries and director generals of ministries is on Corporate Governance, Governance, Legal and Financial responsibilities and Advice to Directors and will be relevant to Public and State Enterprises, Listed Companies and Private Companies. The training personnel in the training program include Darcy Smith, Chartered Accountant, former partner of Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, United Kingdom and Australia, Richard Westlake, Manager of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Dr.Y.R.K. Reddy, founder Chairman of Yaga Consulting, India and a leading commercial lawyer, K. Kang-Isvaran, Barrister, Lincoln's Inn, UK, President's Counsel, Chairman of the Advisory Board on Company Law Revision. |
