Deregulation and tax reforms for accelerated growth -Finance Minister K.N.Choksy by Ravi Ladduwahetty Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has bestowed the onerous task of
managing the national economy on President's Counsel K.N. Choksy. He takes
over at a time when the economy is torn at its seams. The Government has
set itself a growth target of a 4.5 per cent for 2002 through deregulation
