BIA Welisara, Mirigama lift Mercury Trophy
Brandix Intimate Apparel Welisara emerged mens champions when they
beat defending champions Textured Jersey Lanka Avissawella in the final
of the Brandix Mercury Trophy Volleyball Tournament 2012 which concluded
in a grand scale at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium recently.

Brandix Intimate Apparel Mirigama retained their crown in the women's
segment when they beat Brandix Casualwear Denim Avissawella in the
final.
The Brandix Mercury Trophy (Rasadiya Kusalanaya) Volleyball
Tournament is held annually with the participation of all non-executive
associates of the Brandix Group.
The five clusters which were in contest were Brandix Casualwear,
Brandix Essentials, Brandix Intimate Apparel, Brandix Lingerie and the
Textiles and Accessories.
The preliminary round matches were attended by 37 men’s teams and 26
women’s teams, a total of 756 players.
