Top level Iran delegation to visit SL
A top level, five member Iranian delegation will visit Sri Lanka on
April 26 under the leadership of Ayatollah Thaskiri. Ayatollah Thaskiri
is the Secretary General of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools
of Thought and member of the Assembly of Experts - Islamic Republic of
Iran.
The other members of the delegation are also scholars and academics
in various fields. The delegation will stay in Sri Lanka for three days.
They are scheduled to attend several events in Colombo.
The Cultural Section of the Iranian Embassy has organized a
discussion for the Sri Lankan religious scholars with the visiting
delegation under the topic "The importance of unity among the Muslims".
This will take place at the Cultural Section auditorium at No. 06 Sir
Earnest de Silva Mawathe, Colombo-07, at 4.30 p.m and followed by
dinner. The cultural Section has send invitations to prominent moulavis
and religious dignitaries to this event.
