Tuesday's total turnover amounted to a modest Rs.203 million with
Swarnamahal Financial Services making the largest contribution of
Rs.14.7 million. Approximately 1.7 million shares of the counter traded
during the day while the share closed up 4% at Rs.8.80.
Hotels Corporation posted the day's second largest turnover with
587,500 shares traded between Rs.22.50 and Rs.24.40 and the share closed
up7% at Rs.23.60. Market closed down on thin volume as many investors
are on vacation during the long holiday period, thus the ASPI and MPI
declined 20.78 points and 19.43 points respectively.
