Strike over route permit

The bus service between Kandy and Matale came to a halt after the
Passenger Transport Authority had allegedly given a route permit to a
bus operating between Kandy and Raththota, Private Bus Owner's
Association (PBOA) President Gemunu Wijeratne said.
The strike had been launched against the new bus being added on the
Kandy and Raththota route yesterday, he said. |
