ICASL releases exam results

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) released the results of the September 2010, Certificate in Accounting and Business - I and II examinations recently. Which show a significant improvement in student pass rates. ICASL is the national body of accountants incorporated under an Act of Parliament in 1959 and is the largest professional body in the country.

The Chartered Accountancy qualification offered by ICASL is the most sought-after professional qualification where nearly 10000 new students enrolling for the course at a single intake.

The Certificate in Accounting and Business - I is the preliminary stage of the Chartered Accountancy qualification. Out of the 2528 candidates who sat for the Financial Accounting subject at the CAB I level, 72 percent have passed. 2946 candidates sat for the Business Mathematics and Statistics subject at the CAB I level out of which 2005 have passed.
