New volleyball court for Nawalapitiya

On a proposal made by the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs
Mahindananda Aluthgamage a new volleyball court in which day and night
matches could be played will be built in Nawalapitiya Urban Council
Public Grounds Premises. The Deputy Minister had taken this step in
order to develop the National Game Volleyball in the Central Province.
The finals of the National youth and Rupavahini Volleyball (Men and
Women) tournament 2010 jointly organized by the National Youth Services
Council and Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation will be played at the
inaugural ceremony of the new volleyball court in Nawalapitiya Urban
Council grounds on October 16th and 17th.
The awards ceremony of the tournament will be held on October 17 at 4
p.m in association with the Youth Affairs Minister ‘Dallus Alahapperuma,
Deputy Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Chairman and Director
General of NYSC Lalith Pium Perera. |
