Police Traffic Division is a very important Department in the police service. He was speaking at certificates distributing ceremony to 44 Traffic Police personnel, including three Women police personnel, who successfully followed a three months Junior Traffic Training Course conducted by the Police Traffic Headquarters.

The IGP emphasised that as law enforcing officers traffic police personnel have a bounded duty to assist the public and the motorists. If a motorist violates the traffic law, the law enforcing officers could take action against the motorists according to the law of the country. Be courteous to the motorists, IGP Balasuriya said.
