PERERA - J.R.A. (Renfred)   - Dearly beloved husband of Genia (Jenny), loving father of Rukmal and Lakmali (both of Sri Lankan Airlines), father-in-law of Aiyn and Ashan (First Capitol), eldest son of the late Mr & Mrs C.S.A. Perera, brother of Herman J.C., Eardley, Carmen, Dr Winston and Anton, brother-in-law of Doyne (Canada), Claude, Opel, Beryl (UK) and Binky. He passed away peacefully on the 5th and was buried at a private funeral on Tuesday the 6th of November at St. Joseph’s Burial Ground, Moratuwa. 

PERERA - VASANTHA RANJANI (nee Kuruvitaaratchy)   Beloved wife of Harold Perera, loving mother of Nilanga and Priyanga, daughter of late Wilson and Percita Kuruvitaaratchy, mother-in-law of Janpath Edirisinghe (JJ), sister of Sarath, Kamal, Hemantha, Upul and Rupika, sister-in-law of Manel, Janaki, Nilmini, Ranjini and Srilal Welikala, entered the Glory of God. Cortege leaves residence 171/7, Lihiniya Gardens, Kaduwela Road, Battaramulla on Thursday 8th November 2001 at 5 p.m. for Burial at St Matthew’s Church, Talangama. 

SIVASAMBOO PUNITHAVATHY ­   Retired Teacher, Mowbray College, Kandy. Eldest daughter of late Mr and Mrs Ponniah of “Ponmanai” Alaveddy, wife of Murugesu Sivasamboo, beloved mother of Janakan, Mrs Yasothai Sriskantharajah (Tutorial Staff, Hindu Ladies’ College Colombo 6), mother-in-law of Mr K. Sriskantharajah (Tutorial Staff, Colombo South International School) and grandmother of Sankari, Kannan, expired on 6th November 2001. The remains will be at Mahinda Funeral Parlour Mount Lavinia from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday 8th November 2001.
