Public condemn attempt on PM's life

Political parties, community leaders and the public at large yesterday condemned the LTTE's attempt on the Prime Minister's life and urged national leaders to adopt extra security measures at this critical juncture.

SAARC will support UN in fight against terrorism - President Kumaratunga

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga who is also the Chairperson of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) issuing a statement yesterday said that the member States of SAARC will extend their fullest cooperation to the UN Security Council in implementing its important resolutions against terrorism.

Attempt on PM's life: No protest from UNP

Bomb blast: Death toll rises to five
