Government and Southern Development Dr. Richard Pathirana and the Minister of Human
Resources Development and Technical and Vocational Education Amarasiri Dodangoda making a
joint declaration told the media that none of the P.A. candidates at the forthcoming
General Election would in any way vie for preferential votes but instead they all would
collectively campaign for the triumph of the "Chair", the P.A.'s election
