Zimbabwe govt accepts white farmers' land offer Zimbabwe's government accepted an offer of nearly one million hectares (2.4
million acres) of farmland from white commercial farmers to help resolve a raging land
dispute that has cost several lives. "Government looked at the spirit behind the
offer, and welcomes the fact that some white commercial farmers appear to have turned a
new leaf in their attitude towards the government land reform programme," said Vice
President Joseph Msika, who is acting as president while President Robert Mugabe is away
in Libya. Other Stories |
