The UNP has not agreed to a proposed draft statement to be issued together with the PA inviting the LTTE to come to the negotiating table and promising the implementation of measures necessary to alleviate hardships and dangers to civilians affected by the ongoing conflicts and the immediate declaration of a mutually agreed temporary halt to offensive military operations.
