President Pervez Musharraf will hold parliamentary elections in Pakistan next year after electoral reforms allowing more effective participation, a minister said. General elections to the senate, lower house and provincial assemblies would be held on a party basis next year, Local Government Minister Omar Asghar was quoted as saying by the state APP news agency.
