Four prisoners escaped from the Jaffna Prison on Tuesday around 4.30 a.m. Of the four, three were being held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).

The four escapees have been identified as T. Thavachandran, Saravanamuttu Sivanandan, Thavarajahswarnalingam and Sellathurai Ranjan. Jaffna police are making inquiries.   Full story
